How to use your eSIM after you land

After you arrive

• 1) Set the data line to the travel eSIM
• 2) Turn on data roaming for that eSIM line → connect to the internet

Splitting the roles of each line

It's common to use the travel eSIM as "data only" and set it so calls and texts come through on your existing number (SIM). This way you receive KakaoTalk and SMS verification on your original number while using data on the cheaper local eSIM.

Switching networks when it's slow

If the speed is slow, turn off automatic network selection in Settings and manually select a different local carrier (when the product supports multiple networks). If the signal is weak indoors or underground, briefly toggling airplane mode on and off can also help.

Wrapping up after you return

• Switch the data line back to your existing number
• Turn off data roaming on your existing line (to avoid unnecessary roaming)
• Before deleting the eSIM, check whether it supports top-ups (reuse); if it does, keep it to use again next time
